Today we embarked on a meaningful field trip to the Baylands Nature Preserve! The students were full of wonder as they observed and identified different birds living in the wetlands. One special highlight was discovering plants that grow in the mud—something many of them had never seen before! They were fascinated by how these plants survive in such a unique environment.
This experience deepened their understanding of plants, building on our previous science unit, and also sparked many new questions about animal behaviors they noticed during the trip. Their curiosity and excitement are the perfect launchpad as we begin our last unit on animals. What a joyful day of discovery in nature!
