2nd Graders' Learning About Plant and Animal Reproduction at Hidden Villa Farm

Writer: Cornerstone SchoolCornerstone School

To expose themselves to the wonders of nature, the students in the Grizzly Bear Class ventured to Hidden Villa on April 19. The students had a wonderful time going on a hike, tasting fresh produce from the garden, and learning about different plant parts. Learning about different plant parts was especially meaningful for the students, as they had been studying the plant reproduction process in their social science classes, so having the opportunity to closely study these plants in class helped the students gain an even deeper understanding on the subject. While at Hidden Villa, the students also interacted with various farm animals and learned about different aspects of animal reproduction. Overall, this field trip proved to be both an entertaining and educational experience for the students.
