3rd Graders' Foothill Preserve Field Trip

Writer: Cornerstone SchoolCornerstone School

On Wednesday, October 18, the third graders in the Hawk Class ventured into Foothill Nature Preserve to learn about the lifestyle of the Ohlone Native Americans and experience firsthand how the Ohlone people lived. The students not only had the opportunity to try using primitive tools, but also got to observe various local plants. Every student walked away from this experience with a deeper understanding of the Ohlone people’s lifestyle and a richer appreciation for the difficulties the Native Americans faced. We look forward to seeing the students continue to build on their knowledge of this subject!
