Could you survive as an Ohlone?

Writer: Cornerstone SchoolCornerstone School

Could you survive as an Ohlone? This was the question that the third graders in the Hawk Class explored when they went on their field trip to the Foothill Nature Preserve on Friday, October 18. The students learned about the lifestyle of Ohlone Native Americans, exploring primitive tools utilized by the Ohlone and studying different local plants in the area. The hands-on experiences the students gained through this excursion ultimately proved beneficial for all of the students in shaping their multicultural perspective and developing a deeper respect for different cultures. The students eagerly anticipate building on their knowledge in the classroom!
